Note: Some of the FSMs are Miss-Labeled or Confusing. As in, it might say 01 Impreza, So, you'd think you were OK, but it might mean an 2001 JDM or EDM Turbo Impreza. So, check them closely!

Official Subaru PDF's. You have to pay for the service manuals, but most of the OEM accessory installation instructions, TSB's, and Owners Manuals are free

I think can help you with that if you want.
How big is it? If it isn't toooo big, I can host it my server. I have plenty of storage, just not great upload speed. Index of /automotive/impreza/fsm
If it's pretty damn big, I can host it with my Amazon S3 account.
Only costs me a few cents a month for that one.
Lemmie know.

I have plenty of room for 458M. But like I said, my upload speed isn't smoking fast. But, then again, how many people are going to be downloading a copy of the GC FSM. Heck... How many are there even in North America. Let me know what you decide. Hopefully someone with a tone more bandwidth chimes in.

Ok so here is the big "problem"(so to speak) the best way to dl the FSM would be to download the entire folder. Because of the way it is divided up. So... should I figure out how to zip a file really fast then have you upload it or...?
I figure I'll send you a zip or prolly .ace to your email and we can figure it out from there...

Hey.. I'm still more than willing to try hosting this FSM. In fact, I really can't wait to get my hands on it!! But, I thought I'd do a bit of looking around at free file hosting sites that allow very large files. And check this out.. I think I might have found 2 worth looking at. (see below) The major benefit of these sites, is they'll have way better internet speeds than my server. WAY better.

Most free file hosting servers online limit you to only a few Megs. But these two sites allow for files up to 250M each. I know that's not enough for the entire ZIP file, but that easy to remedy. All that needs to be done is to use a multi-part zip, or use the RAR format to break it into, say 200M chunks. Then upload them all, and people can grab it one piece at at time. That can actually be better in case the download fails. You only need to get the chunk that stopped.

The one limit that both of these sites have, is they remove files that are not downloaded for more than 30 days. I can help with that too. I can program a cron job on my server to grab the files every 20 or 25 days no matter what. Then, they'll stay alive and active for ever.

Oh and, it looks like they both offer adverts to the people wanting to download the file. I'm sure the Subie community can live with that for the benefit of a FSM.

Lemmie know what you think. And if you want, you can still send me the file, and I'll set them up on the file sharing sites.

P.S. This is where I found these sites.

I'll start uploading and test it on my buddies computer to see if there are any downfalls...

If not that program for opening the file sounds like a great idea, but doesn't that thing where you enter the code (the one you can never read) prevent that?

I just did a very simple test with a 15 byte text file on FileCrunch.
After the file is uploaded, they simply redirect you to a download page with a link.
And they even give you the HTML or BB codes to include in other web pages to link to the file.
That code that only humans can read is for uploading only. Looks like we're in luck.
And it also looks like my every 25days download "should" work. I did a quick test of that too, and it looked good.
