Anyone ever change the front bumper of their OBS?

I know of the RS swap, but I am wondering if anyone has done a custom mod.

Thinking of cutting my bumpers to fit some 6inch lights.

Heyas Bosco,

I just got my replica 22b bumper back from the paintshop and spent yesterday putting on the new mesh wiring on it.

It's gonna look great.

Now I have to figure out how to get the damn Hella 500's that I bought to fit in the HUGE foglight holes on it. Not sure if there's a kit that will mount these or if the PIAA kit that Kartboy sells will work with them or even if it's the same mounting type as whats on the RS bumper.

Does anyone know?

If I can get the lights mounted I'll have the bumper on this weekend.

What are you using for the wire mesh?

I found a piece of wire mesh at the home depot for barbequeing.
I was going to get the dremel out and cut it to fit.

Got the lights. Not all I have to do it find the time to do the bumper work. :sunny:
hope to have it done by next weekend.

In the fencing area at home depot, where all the chicken wire and stuff is at. There's this AWESOME galvanized mesh that comes in various sizes.

For a 2foot by 10 foot roll it was 8 bucks.

Cheap and it looks SHARP!

completed my bumper mod.

Took a dremel and trimmed the plastic under my turn signal.

Mounted some 6 inch driving lights, using the top of the turn signal area as a mount. It's kinda flismsy and the cut was a really bad job

Looks like I am going to get a quick lesson on fiberglassing. Or maybe I can get a bit of sheet metal and pop-rivet it there.

Also did that illuminate badge mod. That looks really trick

Will post the the stage 1 pics once they are printed. Stage 2 being the work on cleaning up the rough parts of stage 1

Awesome Bosco, can't wait to see the mods!

I should have the fogs mounted by this weekend. Theyre a little trickier to get mounted up than I first thought they were going to be.

I'll probably end up with Fogs AND Driving lights inside the huge radiator airduct since it's pretty big on the 22b bumper.

8 lights in your front end???

Course look who's talking I already have 9 lights in my front end. I still need to put on my front blinkers and maybe some yellow driving lights in the corner. If I get Morettes then I will have 15 lights

I did a screen for my front grill. I got that plastic window screen and hot glue gunned it to the grill. Cut out a hole to put my subby badge. Looks sharp and it was super cheap. MAN I love do it yourself stuff.
