so the other day my turn signals went out along with my hazard lights. i checked the fuses and they seem to be good. i also checked the button for the hazard because that is the relay for the turn signals and that seemed fine too.

im kinda stumped. the only thing i can think of is that it is a bad connection some where electrically, like a bad connector. another reason why it makes me think is has to do with that is because when it went out, it would go out than come back on. when it went out, i would push the hazard button just to see if they would come back on. 10 min later of driving they would work again, but than after the next stop light they would be out. its been awhile now and i think there out for good.

any suggestions? i really dont know what else i can check at this point.

The only real way to check a hazard switch/turn signal relay would be to either find a similar car to yours and test the switch in that one OR get a second hazard switch (that you are sure works) and test it in your car. Because it sounds to me like the relay itself is toast.

if the relay is toast would it still make the clicking sound though?

cause when i push the hazard button in... it still makes the click over on the left of the dash like it would normally which makes me think that is isnt that. but i could be wrong.

See if you can pick up a volt meter from radio shack, always good to have one on hand. If not, shop is a good idea, good luck, electrical issues are always a royal pain in the butt.
yeah i was thinking about that actually... picking up a volt meter. something i should have in the garage for sure.

yes, but his relay clicks. saying it at least is getting power. you need to see if the power is leaving the relay. check it with a test light or voltmeter, if not.. its the relay.

I had a similar issue months after I finished my swap and it was a loose ground at the back of the car near one of my lights and the relay was half dead. So I re-grounded the wire and put in a new relay and a new fuse and I had turns and hazard lights again. :)
but for your case, since you are not blowing fuses, I'd say it's a safe bet that your grounds are good. As for the relay clicking, does it sound like it normally does when you hit the blinkers or hazards?
