well after making my rounds with m 02 RS, 02 WRX, and 05 WRX, i decided i wanted something a little more fun that i can use more with the things i like doing so i landed up with a Wrangler.

i also stumbled across this for $1500, which i dont think is too bad bc i get to enjoy my jeep, and a subaru.

its a daily driver thats fwd auto and has 144k miles on it, its my DD but im slowly looking for parts to replace and work on. im just not sure if all parts on these are interchangeable like the wrxs. will wrx parts work on here as well?

also ill be burying myself in all the faqs and search the site to try and find my way around.

Check out my Member's Journal for mod ideas. My car is almost identical, only in wagon form.

Almost all GC AWD mods will work, except for some rear suspension bits.

i like it, it looks good, i need to do the suspension on mine asap, its a horrible ride. got any links to where u got suspension bits?

I also have a rear disc and sway bar conversion that I still need to install..
Got the hubs, trailing arms, and lateral links at the junkyard for $35/side.
Then I spent another several hundred on poly & Group N bushings, rotors, calipers, brackets, pads, stainless lines, rear sway bar, endlinks, sway bar brackets, nuts & bolts, etc...

i want to but everyone ive talked to said its more trouble then its worth trying to source all the parts for an AWD swap.

i was just looking to get a 2.2L and 5spd, and just do suspension mods to it just to have a fun little DD

very nice. i also have a 95 L. and for the most part subarus are lilke legos and you can interchange a lot of stuff. if your looking to do a tranny swap really any 5 speed tranny will bolt up. i have a 2.5 from a 98 2.5rs that i have not yet swapped into my car but it bolts right up to my 1.8 tranny. all i will have to do is upgrade my clutch. so you can do plenty of mods to an L

Do the rear sway and disk brake conversion. It's a pain, but worth it if you have the time.
