I didn't save anything from the first, i kick myself now for not doing it but I really didn't want to look at the twisted metal just for a couple hundred bucks of stuff that actually survived. I even busted the driver seat.. I just gave it to the wrecker. :(

thanks John! thats a pretty sweet link!

Time to get started:

Pulled the AC system, installed a new radiator and got the brake hardlines to do the ABS delete from the junkyard.
before

after

found a torn inner tie rod boot

and leaking valve cover gaskets, and what looks like oil pump.. and everything leaking

also threw on the hood from the old parts car that gave me my last manual swap
its got 2 dents on the nose but looks like they should come out without too much trouble.

i dont ise them much either. mostly just a cool factor to have them. and theyre relatively simple, especially since you’ll have the whole front end apart. the hoses tuck in there pretty easily.

i’ll check my parts stash.. i may have a couple extra nozzles for you.

Moving slow on the progress. Went to pull the bumper beam to prepare for cutting..

its bent. Awesome. I hope the rest of the chassis can be straightened out fairly easilly.

fitted the lip and attached the new foglight brackets..

anyone have spare bolts for the fogs?

and fuuckkyes! Look what finally came in the mail

Switched to the butt..
Made a bit of progress in disassembly. So nice the car isn't all rusted and seized like the first wagon! Need to find a shop to press out all the bushings and get these things powdercoated and back on!

Debating on having the whole car sand blasted while I'm gutting it like this....
Apparently there's a company that comes out to you and will do it in the driveway. Thoughts?

Wheels and tires - going slightly less wide this time to pull out some camber. -4 was too much.

New Flywheel
OEM is from my ej20g v2 clip
Exedy is the 02-05 wrx oe replacement.
