[BLACK 05 RS]

I have done some searching and I have not found a definite answer. Are all LHD GD steering racks a direct replacement on any GD vehicle? For example, would a 05 sti rack fit a 04 wrx without any hassles. It appears they are from what I have read but I am curious if the wider front end on the sti would make it not a direct fit. Thanks for the help. Also If anyone knows of a good deal on a steering rack or has one for sale, please let me know.

That would do it, but like you said the difference in racks- 04 to 05 would be hard to justify that much work (front cross member swap = work). If it was 13:1 rack- then it would be a go.

So 05 sti would have hassles, but the 04 sti rack will fit directly into a sedan or wagon.
