looks like my shopping list on my last turbo build! keep us posted:
-stainless lines? (always a plus but a bit pricey)
-I would suggest Denso BRE7's for plugs if you are going to run higher boost
-wideband is also a good to have (especially with after-market turbos)

just my 2 cents

Well after this is built it should have the same durablity of a sti engine. I would think you would want to run somewhere in between 15-18lbs of boost. Could go up to 21 but I think that could be pushing it.

what kinda turbo r u plannin on using..boost is a relative term.

stock sti blocks have been known to hold 500 whp..and can do 400 safely.

isnt that one of those huge turbos??

id just start with 10 lbs, you'd really have to consult with a knowledgeable engine builder as to what afr's are safe under boost, what ring gaps to run, etc

11-11.5 for AFR's and as far as ring gaps... he wont have to set any. They come factory set since his pistons are take outs. Boost wise.. i run 23-25psi on 93 pump. Now, keep in mind i have a full standalone ECU. So, i have total control over ignition timing and AFR.

Seems you have gotten things for fairly cheap so far.. i would spend the extra money and buy a good EMS and have ultimate reliability. either a AEM EMS, or Hydra.

Where are you finding these parts if you don't mind sharing? I am having troubles finding good sites to order the STi internals to do a rebuild.

say if he were to run 10.5 afr's or a tad leaner would it have any negible effects?
