This build may seem pointless to some, but i wanted to be different and do an N/A. So tell me what you think...

Old shortblock (it was knocking like a bitch)


New Shortblock:

Also a couple of things that went on that i didnt have pics of:
9.5 lb light weight flywheel from Fidanza
Stage 1 Gripforce clutch
Phenolic intake manifold spacers
Throttle body spacer (also coolant delete)
PP6 for tuning

And i already had the usual I/H/E...

I am hoping for around 210 - 220 crank hp but i may be a little optimistic.

Its stock internals, it is a brand new 2002 RS shortblock. I was going to go for an STi shortblock but i didnt want to lower the CR because i was looking for N/A power and i am not planning on boosting the engine.

Thanks for the compliments. I dont think i will ever build a motor up from the shortblock ever again. But you never know

I had to unexpectedly buy the new shrotblock, but with doing most the work yourself except for stuff like the cam regrind, and the p&p heads, I have spent somewhere around $3000~$3500.

The heads are amazing i didnt want to put them on because of how clean they were. I havent broke in the motor yet so i am babying the hell out of it. But it has sooooo much torque under 3000 rpms that it is amazing, i cant wait to get on it all the way!!!!!
