So this week I got my ej25 engine in my 2002 Subaru rs, today I got it to turn over which is great now just figuring out everything make sure everything is good but my biggest problem is my clutch is to the floor. I can pull it back up but there is no tension or anything. I just need some help fixing it, pretty sure I did everything right with the clutch I don’t know what would cause this. Any tips would be great. This is my first time working on a car so no experience here.

You could need to bleed your hydraulic clutch system, and possibly need to replace the slave or master cylinders. I've experienced this multiple times, where the clutch pedal stops working after doing an engine swap. Rather than attempt to bleed the system first (which I used to do), I just replace the slave cylinder with a quality new one first. Then bleed the system.

I could write a ton about bleeding the system, but a video would probably be more helpful. 2006+ WRX have the same style clutch slave cylinders as yours (not saying they're interchangeable, just saying that they move the clutch fork the same way as your car, and bolt on the same way), and could be good for seeing how it's done on youtube.

well the thing is I already had a new slave on there and it didn’t do anything so I put on the old one and same thing so maybe it’s the master but I’ll probably just bleed it and if it doesn’t work that go through everything else again. But thanks for helping me. It’s definitely why I needed

I am actually not sure how else to explain that. you removed a hydraulic component, and installed a different one. did you bleed that hydraulic component? if you did not, that is your problem.

+1 on bleeding clutch hydraulic system
bleed it. Clutches are way more of a pain then brakes in my mind
If you replaced the slave and didn't bleed it, that's your problem.
What do you mean
First time ever working on a car so sorry I advance but how can I fix it? Is it bad
That's why I mentioned in my first post that you should look up videos for how to bleed a Subaru clutch.
You can lead a horse to water but you can't force it to drink. Is this your first time using a computer and the internet too?

You just need to lead the clutch. Works like bleeding your brakes. Also, make sure your timing is set based I’m on your ecu otherwise it won’t start. Don’t ask how I know! Lol
