psh. I don't really know for sure. You probably know as well as I do, that Subys are known for their longevity.

My car has 115k on it, and no joke, it runs like new. :) Staying on top of maintenance makes a big difference. Hope I helped (a little).

10K miles per year is a reasonable number to go with.

So, you could expect a 2000 (8-9 years old) would be around 80-90K miles depending on how much the owner drove it.

I have a 2001 RS with 106,000KM, minor mods and its running like new. Just stay on top of the maintance and dont push the car if you dont need to. There is no need to rip it from light to light or around corners.

I just picked up my 95 L with 155K miles. The car does not even smoke yet.

Like everyone says, maintenance and not abusing it will keep it alive.

However, I have it the rev limiter in it and it didn't even blink.

thats it, my 96 impreza just broke 219K, ive never owned a subie with under 200K, most of them i have bought sight unseen from auctions and driven to other states with just a oil change before.

i work at a subie wrecking yard, average range is between 150K-450K and they still run like new. most of them are t-bones, or rear-ends. its VERY rare to see one with a bad engine.
