Some minor updates. I'm still working with my etuner to get the tune dialed in. We determined that the coil packs were worn out. After replacing those, there were no issues with highway pulls. The car pulls really hard now. We're still working through that lurching at minimal throttle. Hopefully we can get that hammered out soon. During the troubleshooting process, I also determined that the OBD2 port was worn out, so I replaced it with an iWire unit. I also added OEM fuel dampers to the fuel supply and return to mimic the setup on the GD WRX/STI. Finally, I got fed up with my floor mats sliding all over the place so I picked up a fancy IAG floor mat bracket to replace the crappy plastic one I lost ages ago.

I got a new stereo for Christmas. Sony XAV-AX3250 double-din. So far it seems like a decent head unit, but for some reason this model doesn't let you use custom wallpaper, while others from the XAV-AX series do. I also replaced the cigarette lighter with a built-in style USB-C charger and USB-A pass-thru connected to the back of the receiver. Its a Scosche unit that looks fairly OEM.

On a side note, I think I found the cause of the lurching and hesitation. The front O2 sensor was laughably loose causing AFR fluctuations during closed loop fueling. Oops!

No super big updates on the RS. During tuning I decided to swap out the ebay 565 injectors I originally used for some Deatschwerks 565 injectors. The DW ones are flow matched and tested, and I noticed a decent jump in gas mileage from 18mpg to 20-22mpg.
In other news, the transmission in my beater Outback took a dump. I've lost the patience for working on two cars simultaneously, so I sprung for a new 2023 Impreza wagon base model in 5MT.
