Has anyone, that has installed a Ludespeed on their RS, had to lift the engine at any point to install the kit. The only thing keeping me from buying a Stage II kit is the fact that I've heard that its a bit tricky to install and that the engine has to be lifted in order to install the new oil pan.
I need some clarification from people that have actually installed the kit on their car.

I haven't installed a Ludespeed kit, but I have installed a kit that needed the oil pan replaced. You only need to raise the engine about 2" in order to get the bolts in back of the pan, there's 4 of them IIRC.

So why is that everytime I ask or mention engine lifting to people on the club - I get a reaction like they don't know what I am talking about or like I don't know what I am talking about.

Me: Did you have to lift the engine?

Someone with a Ludespeed installed in their car: What are you talking about engine lifting?

Drives me insane

Thank you for the straight answer :sunny:
