i bought springs recently for my 2001 rs and i was wondering if lowering it 2inches in the front and 1.7 in the back is too low

I'll answer anyways...

For the stock struts or kyb agx struts, yes it is too low... You will ruin the struts...

You will need something like the v5/v6 struts. IMHO, those numbers are too low anyways, but the decision is up to you. You must decide what you want to do. Is this for handling, looks, or both... If for handling, you can find better suited springs that don't lower the car that radically. If for both, just make sure the spring rates are quite a bit higher than stock. If just looks, just make sure the car feels right to you, I would think it would be a bit bouncy...
