Yep. Once you disconnect the strut's lower bracket from the knuckle, you lose the orientation for the alignment. You can mark the parts, and get it pretty close when you re-assemble, but you should get an alignment afterwards.
yup need an alignment but whiel your there have them set you front camber as negative as it will go some where around 1.5-2 degrees negative and your front toe near zero. will help out your handling as well.
