I'm searching for opinions. My '95 L doesn't have a rear sway bar, and I was wondering if a lower tie bar would work in the same way as a rear sway bar or if they are completely different items? Thanks!
Very different things if by lower tie bar you mean the same thing as an under arm bar. By and large the under arm bar dosen't do too much unless you have a very stiff suspension.
You really would be much better served with a rear sway bar. It's a lot harder to install on your car though because I don't think you have the mounting spots on the dog bones. There have been people that have retrofitted the dog bones though. I understand it's pretty hard to get the old ones out.
