I have been noticing that my front bumper looks loose and have had some minor rattles in the car (enough to be annoying anyway) is there anyway to tighten it up with out making a trip to the body shop? Also the driver’s side door doesn’t close flush. My dad said I needed to shim it? Little help here please..

Rattling is quite common in Subarus or so I've read. My car rattles like crazy too. I'm going to try to take the doors apart and tighten every bolt until it can't be tightened anymore. I think it was on azscooby, someone stripped his car and dynamatted it everywhere(sound deadener). Don't know about your other questions though.
The car is already heavily dynamited since the pervious owner worked for clarion it has all the goodies, but over the past month I would say the gap between the quarter panel and the bottom piece has grown enough to notice which is why I think that is what is producing the noise,
the door can be adjusted, all you have to do is adjust the striker position, if the door was loose you'd get a clanging and rattles are normal in any car, the tighter the suspension the more rattles you'll get.
