I am needing to know if an automatic legacy drive shaft will work in a manual impreza. Thanks in advance.

Long story. I have a 93 L and a 91 legacy turbo auto, I will be swaping the engine in but not the trans, I will also be converting it to awd with the rear crossmember from the legacy and I will be using a manual trans in it. I don't have a drive shaft for it and I was just wondering if I could use the legacy one and not have to source an different drive shaft from somewhere else.

long story short, legacy stuff has a different length, and auto vs manual have a different length.

its either all legacy for awd or you're going to have to find a new trans

There are a lot of differences between the different shafts. Different lengths, different number of u-joints, and different mounting locations for the support bearing.

You need the proper shaft for your application.
