Last mod before next AutoX???

The race is on june 10th so i only have time and money to get one more part. my VBgarage has pretty much a full mod list.
i have 200 to spend

option one
22mm front adj whiteline swaybar
New front endlinks

this is to match the rear 20-24 adj

option two
whiteline ALK
New front endlinks

so swaybar or ALK is the question. heard good things on both but i have heard you can over do the swaybars on stock springs. but i will be getting Groundcontrols sometime this summer

Guess i don't know how to make the poll thing work

not 100% sure, but isn't there something about the ALK that will automatically bump u into Street Modified or something like that.

^^^ although legal....unlike the ALK.

I suggest going to a drivers school. Find an Evolution school and go.

ALK. i just did this and its amazing how little the front lifts on exiting corners and stays a little more planted to the floor on fast starts. your stock from sway should be pretty decent until your next mod comes along.

ya thought about that but i work fulltime weekend are pretty packed right now
i don't remeber seeing ALK being illegal in STS could be wrong i will check

just read threw solo cats and doesn't say anything camber and castor plates and suspension bushings nonmetalic are ok

i don't see why ALK would be illegal

The "ALK" that uses a concentric bushing in a housing that is not dimensionally the same as an OEM housing (ie: thicker) is not legal because it changes the geometry. Putting a bushing with an offset mounting hole in an otherwise OEM housing is legal because it is specifically allowed.

The SCCA Solo rules mantra: If it doesn't say you can...you can't.

hummm don't think they will ever notice. castor plates change geometry tho. i need to read the rules again

im not arguing im just tryin to learn and figure out how the rules realy work

No problem....the whole ALK debate has been hashed out many times over the years. The Honda boys know what to look for on a Subie, just so you know. There are a few things I don't like about the solo rules, but I guess I just learn to live with it. Feel free to prep the car how you want it, I just wanted to make sure the rule regarding the ALK pops up in thread searches.

... if you are SERIOUS about auto-xing, the answer should be obvious...

front sway bar = any class legal, even stock class legal!

ALK = beyond SM... :noes: muhhaaa...
(why risk it, it's already a controversial subie mod...)
