I got my '91 4X4 back a while ago, and had some stuff done to it (clutch, all ignition parts, brake work, some suspension stuff, water pump rebuild, shifter bushings and not sure what else - something like $2200 worth of work in addition to the parts). It's just been sitting at my mechanic's place now since I don't drive it anymore. I went and looked at it yesterday and it's really dirty. Has 88k miles now. Poor thing. I don't have time for it anymore, no where to park it, and it's not useful as a car for me sadly. I tried using it again a couple weeks ago, and it feel terrible trying to beat it along the motorway at 4krpm.

Darn it. It drives so nice now, brakes are firm and the whole car is nice and tight. Just passed CA smog so I could register it again and it's running nice. I think the only problem is a dizzy oil leak. Replaced the o-ring in the head, so it must be coming from inside..

If these cars were worth anything, I would put it up for sale. Would be better if someone else could enjoy it. But, sadly - it will probably just sit. Ah, the tragic fate of the Justy.

WOOHOO! I can join this club again!!

Found one on friday after work, picked it up on saturday for $1000.

1995 Subaru Justy GL
172000 km (thats like 25 miles to you americans)

So here's a few pics

Overall, a couple things to fix, the front passenger fender was replaced and needs to be repainted and aligned properly. There is a small leak coming from the headgasket, clutch is on it's way out, and a couple very small rust spots to fix. Oh, and I gotta cut that goddamn heatshield off the exhaust...

4WD works perfect, strong compression on all 3 cylinders, I'm just excited to have one of these again! :D:D:D

A '95 is a rare sight indeed (last import into the states was in '94, Canada had an extra limited year to I believe about 3800+ models). Looks to be in decent condition as well (Great interior, I am jealous) ,and if it runs and works you scored a diamond in the rough ;) If you need any help with diagrams and such just give me a shout (I have the complete set of OE manuals). I also have a few extra parts if you need.

All and all, I am happy to see another member save a Justy from a crusher and making these sweet little cars seen on the roads again :)

I would like to know the make of that roof rack though as I am looking for one for mine. I was going to mod the WRX bars to work, but at this point I dont want to drill into my roof ;P

On a separate note, I am looking for a member that can draw a couple designs of a Justy side profile (2dr/4dr). I am looking for something similar to the RS25 versions with just the bodylines accented.I plan to make some stickers for the owners on here and the Justy forum. I have seen Brat versions on Ebay, it's time for the Justy to have one ;)

Thanks for all the Justy support on this site as well, this really is a great community of car enthusiasts :D

Hey Jamie, PM me your e-mail address, I have the profile of the Justy drawn up from a project I was working on years back that I can give you. I'd post it here but I know that the owner of this forum would just steal the artwork and say it's his own.

Thank you Crossfire :) I see they make Kayak holders and baskets as well, right up my alley :D My buddy and I will be Kayaking and camping around CO this summer and I am hoping to be in the Justy for the trip ;) If not, we just got my old OBS running last night

My mechanic has let my Justy hang out at his place, and now has my WRX in for some suspension upgrades, so I have been able to get some quality time with the Justy again. I love this little car so much.

Anyway, my wife likes it too as long as she doesn't have to drive it every day, so we stuffed our tiny human collection in the car and went for a drive.

My son sits forward-facing in the Justy because that's really the only option. He did just fine though, even on the twisties. Actually just passed out after a while. Just proof positive that even though a Justy is tiny, it can be fun for the whole family. My daughter loves this car, and since it does not have airbags, I have been able to strap her chair to the front seat and take her for a drive where she can see out the windshield - and seems to really have a blast. When I get on the gas over 4k RPM, there is an induction growl that rattles the glovebox and she says "Justy is angry!"

My wife wasn't sure my daughter would like it in the Justy, but when I went tearing up the first little back-road, all we could hear coming from the back seat was maniacal laughter with the occasional "I LOVE JUSTY CAR" thrown in. I think she'll be fine.
