Hey all, just wanted to say hello. I bought a 2004 2.5Ts wagon from out of state over the summer with only 40k miles on the odo with a goal of building a quick car that was not just an off the shelf wrx. I'm in CO and every used Subaru here in the price range I was looking for had 100k+ miles on it, has been in an accident and is still over 12 grand. I added some Rota's, Stromung axle back, flaps and then shopped a quality turbo as it was a little old lady car and while the maint. had been done perfectly, the clutch was shot. I figured I'd just upgrade the clutch and do the turbo at the same time. Had a shop here install the Turbo Specialties kit with a T25 set at 6psi. Car runs amazingly (we'll see for how long) Will be replacing the block next year and turning up the boost after doing the brakes and suspension. All said and done, this car feels way better than my old WRX and I love the fact that nobody else out there has one like it.

Now that's an intro!

Nice car!

Only thing I don't like is the FMIC piping sticking out of the front bumper.

Kills any sleeper it has to it.

Thanks, I will be putting fog covers over that. One side should fit perfectly and I will just cut the other so it just sticks through slightly. Mir had fog lights, so we had to remove them.

Hate to pry, but do you have a price tag on the turbo kit and how much installation was? I know TONS of people ask about how to turbo their cars and I always tell them they're much better buying a WRX or looking for a full swap.

go to turbospecialties-race.com for kit pricing. They were great, awesome communication and the kit fit very will with nearly no adjustments needed.

All in with the car, wheels, tires, exhaust and turbo installed, the car cost me about 12k. I would call that $$ well spent. I've had 3 wrx's and I truly enjoy driving this car more as I know I didn't just buy it this way.

...Also, I'd rather be the TS that can beat a WRX than the WRX that can beat the TS;)

Just had a very safe tune done and at 5ish psi, came out to 180/200 at the wheels. Not bad and a tad better than a stock WRX of the same year. Once I decide whether to do an ej257 block or just do forged internals, we will crank up the boost and see where my little family wagon can go!
