I need the two pin plug that connects to the RS intake or the jap wrx intake and as much of its wiring as you can spare. I bought a delphi type but it has the wrong pin type. Thanks for looking

I'm not sure if the ambient sensor plug is the same as the intake air sensor / IAT. I'd scour the salvage yards but the closest that ever has any subarus is over 150 miles away.

That sounds like the ambient air temp sensor or IAT sensor, same thing. Keener from I-wire might have something. IIRC, some of the USDM forester's, leggy's, and impreza's from the v5/6 era have that sensor/harness so it might be a good idea to check out the salvage yards.

I'm still checking around. Usually the ambient air sensor is for the A/C system and is located in front of the radiator behind the grille. The IAT sensor can be called the same thing technically but it isn't reading actual ambient air if its located next to the airbox. Some engine heat is already absorbed through the intake tract. The pointy sensor in the intake should be the same connector.

#15 in the pic in this auction is the ambient sensor, its clipped in front of the grille
