Well heres the issue.I want one that will run straight to the throttle body because I plan on running NOS and am afraid that I will loose power due to the big airbox on the throttle body.I may be wrong about this though.I like NOS because it is trhe only way of picking up huge power gains while having the ability to turn it off.Something that cannot be done with turbo or SC.
You will have to adapt a Cobb, old Ralli-Spec or JC Sports CAI if you want it to run directly to the Throttle Body. Or, make a DIY intake with some 2.5" or 3" aluminized J tubing, Maf adapter and either K&N filter or better yet a PRM filter. It all can be done!
If you plan on losing the torque box, do yourself a favor and pick up an Air/Fuel computer to keep an eye on the engine running too leanover about 4K RPM. SCC found this problem on their 99 project car and had to richen the fuel mixture to eliminate a huge power robbing lean run condition. I can only imagine this problem being made more serious when NOS is introduced. Just my $.02.
