There is an Autocross this Sunday, April 28, at the parking lot of Bush(sp) Stadium on West 16th in Indianapolis. Is any planning on going or am I going to have to battle Pat alone. It is so embarassing to get beat by a 16 year old. Of course if I didn't suck as a driver...:sunny:

I might come check it out. What's needed to run there? I doubt I'll run, but who knows what crazy car I might find this week.

Maybe I'll bust out the '69 Impala with no powersteering. No better workout in the world than attempting to steer a 4000 pound sled with no help. My GOD! No wonder most women didn't used to drive. I'm surprised half the men could. Maybe I'll get my morning workout wrestling that monster through the cones.

Streetman...It's been a while. Really all you need is a car that will pass tech. They will probably have loaner helmets. I think everything starts around 9am with the first runs around 11am. Don't quote me on the times. Hope to see you there.

Well, obviously I didn't make it. Had a little too much fun this weekend, wasn't up for the morning.

So tell us how you did. By the way, what do you have done to the car now?

On another note, I think I might become employed in the next month. Yeah, I know, it's crazy. But the job requires extensive travel. That means I'd need to immediatly get a good vehicle. Know of anything that gets good milage, has some good looks and maybe AWD? I'm not getting too excited, need to wait until May 17th to be sure I have the job, but it will pay more than enough to get me into an RS. I can finally join the damn club, maybe. Again, not getting too excited yet.

I saw a Subaru Justy on the lot the other day!:happynow: Just kidding. I hope things go well with the new job. I wasn't able to run over the weekend...I have a Cam Idler Tension Pulley that went bad...It is getting fixed as I type. Jim, Dale and about 5 other Subarus were there though. I didn't stay to catch all the times but I am sure they all had a good time. It was colder than hell though.

All I have done to my 2.5 is a CAI, Light weight pulleys and a 29mm rear sway bar. I am waiting for a Brullen Catback and I think I will be done for a while.

Thanks for the kind words. I'll find out more tomorrow, and hopefully find out whether I've got it for sure. Don't worry, it's independent contractor work, I'll still have time to frequent the 'noodle. Let me know when you're comin back into town. Indy 500? USGP? I'm thinking I'll be able to show off an RS next time people come into town...God, I hope I finally can.

Sorry to hear about the RS. That is a good problem to catch though. Loose things can be bad, mmmkay?? Like I said, hopefully I'll be actually joining the club soon, and not just posing.

Speaking of that, anyone hangin' out in Indy? I've been out of the loop. Need to start livin' again. When's the next auto cross? More karting? Anyone meetin' up just for the hell of it? Let me know what's up.

Got the job, but don't start until June. AAAAAAAAAHHHHHhhhhhh! This is killing me. I'm getting rid of the Acura for trade in price, to a real dick. This guy is going to fix it up a little, and attempt to turn a profit. No problem with him making a profit, he just rubbed me the worng way. I hope it explodes the day he pays me. The truck is next on the choping block, and then the Impalla goes off to the Classic Car auction at the end of the month. Anyone wanna get in on one of these before they're gone?

I'm thinking a 2000 or 2001 RS would suite me just fine. If anyone can tell me where to find one for less than the price of a new 2002, let me know. The other voice in my head tells me to get the 97 2.2, and start saving for a turbo. Bad voices, go away!

Hey, being that this is a autocross related thread, where can I see what classes are in the autocrosses here in Indy. I figure that would have to be some unlimited class in which I would get smoked regularly. Are the courses long enough to even keep it in on boost?
