I just purchased a 2000 RS 2.5 4Dr with automatic. Only strange thing that I've noticed so far is a hum that sounds like it's coming from the front wheels that starts at about 65 MPH. The car has 26K miles, and still has the original Bridgestone Potenzas. Anybody else run into similiar problems, or is the noise just from the tires?

Could be that your out of alignment a little and the hum is coming from tire wear. Or it could be the wind making that noise on something, though I've never had that problem before.

Thanks for the reply. I have to take the car in to have the O2 sensor checked next week, so I may ask the dealer for suggestions (although I'd rather lead him to it rather than hope he comes up with it on his own).

I get that too, but only when my wife is in the passenger seat.

You might try check to see if your bumper or any other plastic parts are loose. :D

there is a post about this in the N/A forum. my car does it too. I haven't figured out what it is but with my rallispec intake I can't hear it anymore anyway.

It's not from the tires, i'm really not sure where it is coming from.
