I was installing TEIN coilovers and when i took my wheels off they were a lot lighter than what i expected.

Now that I know they are light wheels im going to wait to get aftermarket wheels

Anyone know the weight of these wheels ????

the WRX wheels are narrower(at 6-1/2") than the RS wheels, but are they also lighter?

I had 17's on my RS, but after learning that they weighed so much, I got rid of them and put the stock rims back on. I think that you can feel a difference between the two.

You could probably feel a difference. 1 lb of rotational weight will equal the loss of a lot more stationary weight. There is a formula for this in the September 01 issue of Sport Compact Car.

The stock rims for a MY2000 weigh around 18 lbs and the stock 02 rims, which are 1/2 inch narrower weigh a little less than that. The MY98-99 rims weighed around 19 lbs.

which states that the stock wheels on MY98 and MY99 weigh 17 lbs. a piece, and the wheels thereafter are 16.5 lbs.

Yeah, for the MY00 it is like 16 or 16.5 pounds each.
