My steering wheel is collapsing a bit, and the horn circuit is continuously complete.

Anyone have a suggestion for how to pull the cover off to install a new spring?

I did it, it's two torx screws, one by the cruise control toggle, the other by the signal stalk. Meaning one on the left side of the wheel, the other on the right.

These are T27 size approximately.

After loosening them, carefully set the airbag unit aside, DO NOT UNPLUG.

Then the horn triggers are visible. One had its torx screws too loose, and that is what caused a constant contact on the other side.

Tighten those screws all the way, clean all the dust out of the wheel, then reassemble.

just a heads up you can unplug the airbag just make sure that you have disconnected the battery and have done something to make sure there is n residual power on the lines like turn on heads lights, hit the brakes, ect.
