are you interested? how detailed you want it to be? i ran the line through the cab. where the plastic door moldings are. then through an empty plug that if removed opens a hole to engine bay by steering column. i attached the splitter using old license plates. the i/c system probably cost me less then 20 bucks

Nice, they sell window wash kits at autozone for 30 bucks.

They come with a tank, pump, lines, switch, and wires. I was going to buy one and try it out in my car...but i live in AZ. I would be spraying 120 degree water on the IC...

ice ice baby. lol i would use icy and could also insulate it. i'm curious on how refrigirators work. lol i didnt see the kit at autozone and i only got like ten feet of tubing and that all. this tank is cleaner looking then auto zone. mounts to one of the existing holes wich is for the molding support, i drilled a second hole. might make a bracket for the buttom but its sturdy enough. i mainly thought of this for auto x and stuff like that. idk.

For sure.

Yeah the autozone kit is in the back. I used to work there and stumbled upon it one day. I bet most people who work there dont even know they carry it because its not a common bought item.

I need something to help with heat soak. but i dont know if i want to fill the tank with ice all the time....PITA haha.

I always thought it would be badass to take out the A/C evaporator and stick it over the intercooler (perhaps a larger one).

Either that, or put together and air-to-water intercooler, and on the way back from the front radiator have the lines run through the A/C system somehow. That way you could chill your water while revving before a run.

hmm im going to do this, run the lines through the cabin and have a valve somewheres, when switched one way it'll go to hose that goes to intercooler, when switched the other it will go to me windshield sprayer nozzlebobbers....

GREAT SUCCESS!

just did some searching and i think the hose size is 1/4". im going to try this later today. also how did you secure it in the trunk. from the pics, you cut the fabric for the 2 tabs on the resovour then what did you do from there? i was planning on running the wires/tube with the brake lines under the car. how do you think that would work?

^thats how i ran the wires. i just took a piece of my windshield hose tube, went to autozone and got something close. i think its 1/4 and 72inches? idk. your carpet has a tab that plugs in the hole on the metal. i used a nut and a bolt instead of the tab and drilled a secong hole to have it more secured. i will go take some pics.

JEFFF i have to say no to your idea. i/c spray water is cold (add ice during track) windshield is green for summer (from bugs), blue other times. wich is more expansive then water from hose.

nosels spray just like they do onto your windshield. it sinks through intercooler. when moving should spread a bit.

rs25.com i am a bit lost but i think i know what you mean only i got no a/c condenser :( i'm just gonna get roof scoop sometime.

How effective is a water spray? I've always wanted one just so i have a cool button to push, but does it make your car any faster? Does the i/c get hot enough that the water just steams off? Sorry for the barrage of questions, but i'm very curious.

I plan on building something like this very soonish with a dual motor jdm bottle. So far I have the bottle, usdm sti nozzles, i/c spray button from a gc8 (which I plan to put in place of my cruise button since I don't have cruise anymore), and a bunch of autozone 18 gauge wire. All I really need now is some rubber piping and to drill some holes in my gc8 splitter.

CaptainAwesome - it doesn't get hot enough for any steam. If you're curious, just go for a drive til it gets hot, then take a water bottle and pour some on the i/c. Rather, it just seems to drop right through the core and the fins don't seem to stay wet for long, doesn't seem all that effective honestly, but I'ma do it anyway.

My only question is, if the windshield squirters and the i/c sprayers share the same bottle/liquid, would it be safe to spray windshield washer fluid on the i/c repeatedly? It won't rust anything eventually will it?

^ cant tell you anything. no license. i am sure it helps but i wouldnt say it makes it faster. just for traffic times and track times. you know how you sit there and the car seems slow on taking off. then gets better. heat soak. it helps to cool it down. its an easy 20 dollar mod.

tnice i have pulled an allnighter painting friends rims and going to car parade. will take pics tommorow. run the line through the hold right under brake booster (empty plug) by steering column. then by the brake lines actualy there is a spare clip for an extra line so i cliped it in there. you will need the plastic tube connectors. then goes under the rear seat/quater panel. bottom corner of the trunk under the seat. then behind trunk carpet. u can use fog light switch or cruise control. i can take a picture of the wire that you need to tap into. what parts you want to be detailed? i'll try taking pics tommorow. sorry for the wait

it will rust a hole in your wallet ^

water almost free
windshield fluid 1-1.50 a gallon.
also why you want two mottors? and splitter should have spray nozzles on it? i can see you put 4 instead of 2 nozzles. have them closer. and why did you buy a button if you don't have cruise controll? lol
