Hi, I've a stock MY00 rs sedan that occasionally exhibits a high-pitched squeak/squeal during *normal* upshifting (in all gears). It seems to occur more often when the car/engine is "cold" and/or when it's cold outside. I've taken it to the dealer during the day but by the time I drive the 3 mi there the squeaking either "vanishes" or is barely audible to me (and not audible to the mechanic sitting next to me). It's been happening for a few months now. Any ideas?? Thanks!

I have a similar problem with my car. If I let the clutch up too fast there is a squeal. If I let it up slow I gets no squeal!

I'm no mechanic, but it could be the rubber bushings at the end of the shifter? If it is, Cobb or Kartboy could be in your future. When it's cold in MN, the shifts I make when the engine is cold feels really really rubbery until the tach reaches normal operating temperature. Nothing audible though. :run:
