Ok so I'm doing my first clutch job and my 07 impreza 2.5i and I need to take off the cv joints but I am having a very hard time PLEASE HELP!!

Use the scissor jack to push the trans away from the frame rail. Remove one axle after hammering the pin out.

Repeat for the other side.

You pop them out with a pry-bar..

Drain tranny fluid, then do the same steps, minus the pin.

I personally prefer to just pull the balljoint to get the wiggle room.

Yea, just give those CV shafts a tug. And be careful when you put them back in as you can tear the seal rather easily.

Balljoint can be pulled, or strut can be popped off. Either way is good.

If you haven't touch your ball joint at all, then don't go that route. Go the strut route. You'll probably destroy the ball joint boot trying to pop it off.

Mark your eccentric bolt if you go the strut route. You want to mark the bolt, leading onto the strut. This way you don't mess up your camber when you put it all back together.
