I just bought an apexi N1 cat back exhaust, and I still want to get rid of my cats, but I cant seem to find any pipes. What is the technical name for the straight pipe that replaces your cats, and what is a good brand? thanks for your help
it's called a trackpipe, a test pipe, or a cat delete pipe. Stromung makes one (www.stromung.com or www.boxer4racing.com) or you could buy one used for hella cheap on here or nasioc. Just watch the classifieds, they pop up pretty often
be careful of a little rasp if you're deleting your cats completely and just going with a test pipe. I bought a random tech high flow cat pipe with a gutted cat on here and just replaced the gutted cat with a 12" resonator to cut the rasp down. With a borla header and an apexi knockoff catback it sounded like this
thanks guys. Im just wondering, will the stromung test pipe bolt right on to my apexi cat back exhaust? cause the one on the stromung website says it connects to the rear muffler.
