I have trouble with grinding gears only when I am shifting at redline from 3rd to 4th gear but have no trouble any other time. I have an exedy lightened flywheel, exedy clutch, Kartboy SS and bushings with Mobil 75-90 synthetic fluid. Could it be the syncros? They work every other time of could it be the clutch on its way out? I have a clutchmaster stage 3 waiting to be installed so it’s not a big deal. Just wanted some opinions?

I grind when I shift too fast from 3-4. I think I'm actually shifting faster than the synchros can mesh. Because the 3-4 is really a quick flick of the lever.

I too have a Kartboy SS and mobil 1 75-90.

I did not have this problem before the mobil 1. I'm going back to dino oil unless somebody can point me at a synthetic that isn't slippery (isn't formulated for a limited slip w/friction modifiers).

well I am glad I am not the only one having these problems I am going to try BG sycroshift which from what I have read is what a lot of DSM guys have been using and I should be able to find it locally. I will let you know in about 2 weeks when I get home from Florida.
