"if you want to open the throttle faster you can unscrew the throtle cable pull it forward and re tighten it just dont mess with the bottom cable it will mess up you " kick down gear" in the tranni and youll f up your tranni"

There isn't a kickdown on an electronically controlled automatic tranny. There isn't a kickdown on a manual tranny.
The kickdown should be a metal rod/lever/shaft, and not a cable.

If you've got two cables attached to the throttle, the first is the gas pedal and the second is your cruise control. Follow it and you'll probably end up at a round looking thing that is probably green, iirc. It goes where the turbo would normally be, if we had them.

Kick your Kia-owning friend in the head for me. :)

Oh. If you want your throttle to open faster, push your foot down faster.

Some cars use a non-round (has a lobe, like a cam shaft) throttle linkage thingy to increase the off-idle throttle advance, making you think you've got more power than you really do.

2nd one is the cruise eh?...Damn I always wondered what that second one was for. Man do I feel DuMb.

I wonder how hard it would be to throw cruise on my L...
