I just got the funds to paint my 2002 Subaru to black from gray. My question is does it matter what time of year its is ? I live in New York state and there's gonna be a lot of snow coming along with all the rock-salt and whatever else they lay down. Then there's the freezing temperture, ice, etc... I was told by a local body shop guy that it will not matter. I don't know if he's saying that because he needs the work or ???
Do any painters think it's better to wait til spring or summer ? If so why? I really appreciate any help you can give me. I'd like to get it painted tomorrow but I figured I'd ask around first. Thanks again and Happy Holidays. Jim Carson, Syracuse NY

Are you painting in an indoor booth, or outdoors?

It's an indoor booth. Not sure if this guy has a room to bake the car. I was told he's good and inexpensive (cheap)

If its indoor, it shouldnt matter what time of year it is. Although it is harder to cure paint during the fall/winter.

yea gonna say curing paint in warmer weather is a lot easier.
