What kind of GD subframe, they differ based on year and engine type and year.

The STI control arms will bolt on to all GD subframes, irregardless of year.

The front subframe/cradle is out of a 2002 wrx sedan, will the alignment be okay with the gd lower control arms after it’s put into spec on the alignment rack? And I will have to run a gd wrx front sway bar and links I’m guessing?

You're right that you need a turbo front swaybar to make it work (with the turbo crossmember). The car can be aligned, but the front GD sedan parts are wider than the 1st gen impreza, and 2nd gen impreza wagons (including wrx wagon). It's not the end of the world, and many people are running a similar setup.

I didn't want to change my suspension geometry, so I ended up using WRX wagon control arms (with my 2005 GD STI subframe). JDM 3rd gen Legacys could be had with the narrower aluminum control arms, that fit the newer style GD crossmembers. I'm casually looking for a set of those to replace my stamped steel LCA's.
