So I have taken a Ej25d out of a 98 outback and stabbed into my 93 GC. This car originally came with the 1.8L 5spd. I dont think that I am getting the full potential of horsepower and torque from the engine since the ECU is mapped for the 1.8L. Anyone have any suggestions on an ECU that would be mapped for a Ej25d and would plug into stock harness? Or has anyone done a similar swap and made other changes to compensate for the computer not having the correct mapping??

I've heard tales of a JDM legacy 2.5 ecu that plugs right in, but haven't actually seen one. I'd recommend you just enjoy the power for now, and save up for something with a snail.

I've got the 2.5 in my 95 1.8, but no ECM mods.
