gas pedal sensitivity?

1633 Views 7 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  TaiChih
I was just wondering how sensitive everyone's gas pedals were. I drove my friends WRX and his gas is no where near the sensitivity of mine, and I was just wondering if everyone elses was the same. At the slightest touch, my rpm's will go up, unlike his where his rpm's start going about a half inch to an inch into the gas. I have a 99 RS

Thanks

That, and they don't have as big of an engine as we do!:p
my honda friends drive my car and say, "Whoa, check out the torque!"
In the words of James Hetfield: "Torque, gooooood!!" Have I ever mentioned that I've never lost to a WRX at rally-cross in the Production GT class? They just can't pull around a slow corner like the 2.5 can. Oh, well, at least my car looks better!:D
putting on a turbo will easily help with increasing throttle sensitivity, not to mention a lightened flywheel:D
I noticed a huge improvement when I tightened the throttle cables up..

Won't a turbo actually slow the throttle response some due to the increased back-pressure from the turbo before it gets spooled up? I'm pretty sure it won't increase it anyways, at least not off boost. And I'll have to try that throttle cable thing, sounds like a good idea.
