hello, i have a CEL that comes on once in a awhile so i checked my ECM with my scan tool, and i found that the fuel level sensor has a high output voltage..thats the only code that comes up...i was just wondering what would cause the output voltage to be excessive?........... anybody? .........thanks...

umm i used a matco tools obdII scanner ....just a low budget one ,oh well im just trying to find out what it is before i replace the whole fuel sender unit .......im sure it isnt cheap , thanks i'll check that site out!

The fuel sender works on resistance, so high voltage might mean the resistace in to low. Do you notice your fuel level when the CEL comes on?
I say just replace the sensor! That will probally fix it!:D
