So, i'm still having issues with this car. The gauge is still stuck at full, and I have code p0463. From the harness near the door jam back to the fuel sending units is confirmed to work, and both of the units are working. Any way to test if there is just a break in the wire or if this is an ecu issue?

So, I seriously need help with this, I've now had my car stall on my while i'm driving to a gas station. I tried testing the connection and from the black connector on the passenger side the brown w/ yellow stripe wire is reading a consistent .050 ohms of resistance while at the ecu it was reading .076 and i'm completely lost.

side note does anyone know what this green connector is, it looked like a test connector so i unplugged it, but all it does is loop around on itself so i have no clue what it's supposed to be.

Did you get to the bottom of this in the end?? I have the same issue with mine! Swapped out both sender units but still comes up with low voltage fault code
Sorry, I can't be of much help.My car's not running at the moment anyways 😅

It has been a while since I've gotten a chance to work on my car, but with a few free days, and the frigid cold of Michigans winter finally relenting, I decided to take a crack at diagnosing my non working fuel gauge once again, and the results are ......odd to say the least. I traced the fuel gauge wires all the way from the senders up to the ecu and both the ground, and the sending wire have perfect continuity, and when I directly measure at the connection and ground I can read the level in the tank, and it's accurate, exactly what it measures at the senders. Yet, the gauge remains non functional, and p0463 keeps the warm yellow glow of the check engine light ever emitting from the gauge cluster. I've tried swapping out for another ecu to test of there was some internal fault in mine, but this unfortunately did nothing. I'm at a loss, and assuming at this point there's a break in the connection between my ecu and gauge cluster, any thoughts before I pull my dashboard apart?

Well, I have reached the end of this issue. Going on six years of ownership of this car and I have yet to have a working fuel gauge.......until now, and the emotion that I'm feeling can only be summed up by the words..What the fuck. I decided to pull the gauge cluster out, and all of the wires from the ecu to the cluster had continuity, and so I feared the worst, that one of the traces on the cluster, or maybe even the cluster computer, had gone bad. However, as it turn out, the low fuel gauge bulb in the cluster is an integral part of the fuel gauge circuit. So with a new bulb in place, my circuit has been restored to operational conditions, and maybe I won't have to track my MPG anymore, though the accuracy of this 24 year old gauge remains to be seen.]

TL;DR: Your low fuel light bulb acts as a defacto fuse for the fuel gauge circuit, so if it burns out your gauge goes dead.
