sorry... this is 100% off topic, but i need to ask some typical guys a few questions... i'm in a post whoring mood today...

Why is it that if a girl isn't a size 3 or smaller, guys are automatically uninterested, and won't even consider getting to know the girl....???

Girls develop eating and self-image problems before drug or alcohol problems.

Seventy-five percent of American women are unhappy with their appearance.

Women who frequently read fitness magazines for reasons other than interest in fitness and dieting display greater signs of eating disorders than women who do not read them at all.

In a recent survey by People magazine, 80% of women stated that fashion magazines and advertising make them feel insecure about their looks.

Self-criticism yields the greatest influence in women's insecurities about their bodies.

As a result of the extremely thin females frequently seen on television, many Americans feel overweight, even though they may be an average size. Media portray the message that happiness and success come with a thin body. The joys in life such as power, popularity, friends, and success are seen to come easily to the beautiful, thin characters on television. Characters who are overweight are often perceived as failures, lonely, or rejected. They are often the target of jokes and humiliation.

Both genders may be greatly affected by the images on television, but females are more likely to be targeted by these messages. Successful women are young and thin, while the appearance and age range for successful men. The female viewer may assume that she must lose weight to obtain power. The media imply that there are shortcuts to make the average female look and feel as thin and desirable as the women seen on television. Commercials suggest that the average woman wants to lose weight to resemble current actresses and models. The message assumes that the average person is not thin enough to be viewed as a beautiful person in society.

While many of the women seen on television are becoming thinner, an average weight female may view herself as overweight, which could lead to eating disorders. Women account for 90 to 95 percent of all people who suffer from eating disorders, and men comprise the remaining five to ten percent. Those who watch television at least three nights a week are fifty percent more likely than non-viewers to feel overweight or fat. Fifteen percent of the viewers admitted to vomiting to lose weight, and two-thirds of the female viewers dieted as a result of the images they saw.

The two most common eating disorders, anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa, affect over five million Americans. Thousands of these people die from physical problems resulting from these illnesses.

I AM SO SICK OF THE BULLSHIT PRESSURE SOCIETY AND PIGHEADED MEN PUT ON WOMEN TO BE FUCKING SKINNY! WHERE THE FUCK IS THE WRITTEN LAW THAT A WOMAN HAS TO BE THIN TO BE BEAUTIFUL??? I AM SO SICK OF MEN! WHY DO YOU THINK THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF TEENAGE SUISIDES EVERY YEAR BY YOUNG GIRLS TRYING TO FIT INTO SOCIETY'S VIEW OF PRETTY?

GOD!

its simple, don't buy into the whole self-improvement (i.e. spend more money) gimick. you don't see my scrawny ass hitting the gym :) social games are alot like casino games, they cost alot of money and in the end you're going to lose. so don't play. and if you do play, don't be suprised when you turn up a 22.

now, that being said, you want to talk about eating disorders, try wrestling  the things i, and everyone else on the team, would do to make weight. of course, i was the smart one, i only did it my freshman year ;)

now, not to trvialize this too much, but there were some funny things in that stuff you posted.

Women account for 90 to 95 percent of all people who suffer from eating disorders, and men comprise the remaining five to ten percent.
i'm so glad they added that last bit or i would have assumed that Alf made up the rest of it.

and:

Those who watch television at least three nights a week are fifty percent more likely than non-viewers to feel overweight or fat.
hmm, a possible confound? if someone sits and watches alot of TV, there sedentary ways will result in a big fat ass regardless of what skinny models are on the tube. be like me, have no tv :)

and as for losing weight, there is a perfectly good reason to do so: racing. weight is bad, ummkay.

I disagree with this completely. I don’t know any guys that are that into stick girls. Sure we may want to bang them but face it, we want to bang every chick. If a chick is lame and fat the chances of guys not liking her because she is lame are greater than the chances of a guy not liking her because she’s fat. That’s been my experience anyway.

I personally like breasts and nice, round asses that taste like French Vanilla ice cream. You don’t get those on size 2 chicks. Bring on the 5'10" size 10s

My girlfriend is about 5'2 and weighs about 100lbs. She's 100% JDM. She asked me one time if I would ever leave her. I responded if you ever get fat I would.

Reasons for saying that.
1. It takes good looks to spark interest.
2. Aside from personality, I'm still more into looks.
3. If I would ever let me looks go(not saying I'm the greatest looking guy), I wouldn't be suprised If my girlfriend left me.
4. Looks do matter, you have to be at least presentable.

just my 2 cents.

Actually a nice ass is important to me!! ;) You don't have to be Mr. Buff to get a chick's attention....

or be a skinny stick for a guy....

Yeah we all look at them first, but do you really think they have a great personality under all that bs....just my 2 cents!

Great to look at and touch..but not so good to buy!!

I think that goes with guys too. The trouble is getting that first notice to see if you have anything "under all that bs" :)

Kinda the irony there...
