1999 Subaru RS with full STI Swap RSTI
4/19/2020

For sale is my properly setup rSTI high-end build for Road Racing or HPDE. I have around $40,000 into this build not counting the hundreds of hours of labor and R&D to get it dialed in for road courses. It does a 2:35 at Road America and 1:44 at Brainerd 2.5 Competition tracks. Weight is 3220 with 195-pound driver, 7/8 tank of fuel, and both Sparco seats installed. Horsepower is 400 at the wheels on the high-boost tune. This car absolutely dances around a racetrack and when you put on boost through corners it feels like it has claws. This was one of my top 5 dream cars, but I am now focusing on endurance and wheel to wheel racing. I just don’t have the space to keep this around anymore. I barely drove it last year and it has only been out to move from storage to my garage where my 2015 STI is now sitting outside.

Basement FULL of parts – lots of it from the original owner build. You could probably do another GC8 WRX swap with all the stuff. ISC Suspension, rotors, 5x100 setup, axles, R160 diff with Cusco 1.5 LSD installed, fuel pumps, etc. Wheel bearing assemblies. Really nice condition rear cloth seats and OEM seatbelts. I have receipts for all of the work that I’ve done since ownership – there is a lot.

$22,000 firm and we can split shipping. I really want this to be a smooth transaction with no surprises. I will be transparent to any questions to the best of my knowledge. I would also encourage a 3rd party PPI of the vehicle at a location of your choice (within 45 miles of 54703).

Also - this car is completely drive-able anywhere. I drive to/from the track and limited back-road use, but the current alignment will eat up tires if you plan to use for a daily. With the KWv3 suspension it rides nicer than my stock 2015 STI.

Yes - still for sale. Took it for a drive and didn't have a lot of boost. Found the Tial wastegate had torn. I bought a new Tial 44m MV-R today and I'll be installing on Wed. I'll give you a ring.
