I thought the point of drilling/slotting the rotors was to evacuate gasses that get trapped between the pad and rotor, not the dust. Hmm.

stupid people rule the world...someone should also tell him the TRUE use of slotted/cross drilled rotors, better yet tell him that modern day performance brake pads have degassing materials already in them
