Okay, I own a 2000 Impreza 2.5RS, it has an Injen CAI on it.
I was washing the car with the hood up this afternoon and I noticed that when I sprayed water on the windshield, it ran down the inside passenger side fender seam and then down the hole where the CAI piping enters the fender. I then checked to see if the water was hitting the cone filter and sure as hell it was!
I quickly fixed the issue by squeezing a bunch of clear caulking into the seam the water travels down, right after the passenger strut mount. Now the water goes down the strut mount wall instead of on the filter.
Please let me know if any of you guys have this issue, I`m curious to know.
Hope I help some of you guys and gals before frying your engines.
