Girlfriend and I match now

Thats a nice looking bugeye! My GF has a bugeye too:

ah, yes, the HIDS are awesome. the black chrome ones, from what matt tells me are the same as the HID ones but don't use HID bulbs in them for some reason. he put HID into them and they were just fine. and i 'think' jon did that too.
I have two sets of JDM factory HID Black Chromes. So I do know they come in HID from the factory. I believe its just a model year thing. The black chromes are only on the 2002 model(01 JDM) and the matte are on the 03 MY (02 JDM).

Equinox, I'm willing to sell the two sets of Black chrome JDM HIDs. I was planning on selling em for $600 ish after I convert the beam pattern to LHD. Let me know if you are interested. I can get off my ass and do the conversion if i had a buyer lined up.

Furrin Group AutoX - 131 Motorsports Park - 10/25/2015

Woo racing!

Another AutoX and the first one with the new springs. Car felt super awesome with the exception of a lot of front wheelspin, which I blame my 30psi fronts on. Good job at checking them before leaving for the race, me :unamused:

I drove really, REALLY slowly for some reason. Can't quite pinpoint it, but I ran slower than one of the other Subaru guys who's first auto event it was which really made me feel bad. Complaining doesn't make you faster though, so whatever.

The course was really fun though, topped out 3rd almost in a strightaway which to me was unheard of in an AutoX. I kept hitting some cones again, but had no DNFs.

There were 100 people there, and in the scheme of things I did well, but in my class I think I was 15/19 or something like that. SM was the most competitive class there.

Here is a video of one run (2/4 iirc). Botched the launch so hard, which im not sure why. The rest of my launches were great. My foot just didn't want to work for whatever reason.

Here are some awesome pics taken by some guys who take pics (?):

Looking forward to another event in November. I hope it isn't canceled, because I really want to redeem myself (for my own self esteem) and end the season on a better note than feeling bad about times.

i'd be willing to bet that with those new springs on there, it wasn't quite what you where used to it handling like. few more events and spirited driving in between, and you'll be quicker than you were on the old springs.

I think you're right Brian. People can drive cars that they know how to drive very fast. Definitely a new setup, and the most capable I've had. I didn't use it to it's full potential, so time to just keep driving!

Furrin Group AutoX - 131 Motorsports Park #2 - 11/7/2015

Was a bit of a cold day for racing, but it stayed (mostly) dry and was a well spent Saturday. Went out with a ton of friends and we all were mostly running the same class.

Compared to the last event I adjusted my front camber to give me a bit more, stiffened the front end up, and jacked tire pressures way up. Front end felt a lot tighter, and there was no wheelspin (well there was, more on that later). Car felt planted.

Overall I placed 7th out of 16 in class, and I felt much happier about everything this time around. Right as our class started to run, it started to pour rain :(. But, it was a short system and after the 2nd run there was no longer rain, but the track was still pretty slippy. Nothing but wheelspin off the line with a launch and getting a bit squirmy under hard braking from ~105 mph in a long straight section. A lot of people were spinning out, and we had three people hit things the entire day. One was a VW that smashed into a lightpost, and we watched an STi side off course into the grass and nearly clip a wooden pole right in front of us. I was a bit timid on hitting the gas because of these events, but managed to toss down a better time than a lot of people who DNF'd or hit cones.

During the whole event I managed to hit 0 cones! That was my goal for the day, so nothing but smiles!

And of course... pictures and a short video!
