Hey guys,

I recently installed a '04 WRX Trans in my '95 L. The '04 WRX trans has an electrical speed sensor output from the trans, and my gauge cluster is mechanical. Anything I can do, or do I need a new cluster?

Your ECU is still seeing the VSS signal from 95l cluster. (if you havent swapped)
No need to plug anything in,all is well.

He might be referring to the fact that his cluster isn't showing his speed... because it needs the cable.. tranny has no cable only electric

cant you screw the older cable into the newer bung where the electric sensor is? I haven't compared the 2 side by side so I dont know, but if you could then your all set. I know their located in the same place on the trans.

Now if I can only get it out!! The stupid plastic screwoff broke.

any luck? I am having trouble with the 04 wiring harness in a 99 gc. both are electrical as i have been told but the speedo wont work. and the cluster isnt broken. the wires are good. i dont get wat is going on.
