Hello all I have a question about my car. I have a 96 Impreza LX with the stock EJ22 and it's non turbo.
I've changed the alternator and battery but it's still pulsing! I have no clue what could be wrong.
My battery reading flux around 10-11 volts.

Thanks for your help!

Check your wires specific to tye battery.. corroded wires and subarus poor grounds could be hurting you..

Does your alt use an internal or external voltage regulator?

If its external then that could be the problen.. I dont know the 96's that well

Check the voltage at the battery while the car is running. That will tell you if the alternator is good, provided the belt is properly tensioned. You should read over 12 volts. Clean up all the grounds you can.

Generally when your alternator/voltage regulator fails the alternator and the brake warning lights on the dash will light up. Good luck.

Sometimes the battery light flickers on and off.
I also hear a winding sound at idle.
Maybe the alternator is a defect since it's been replaced twice.
