So I have kind of an interesting situation that I am trying to figure out if its worth doing, my girlfriend has a 98 forester 5mt with the EJ25D. The motor has 300k on it and is showing signs of its age as well as the gearbox. I have a MY97 JDM WRX Wagon 240hp EJ20G (basicly a detuned ej20k) sitting in the garage but I dont have an ecu or harness for it. Is there any reason I couldnt swap out the crossmember, swap out the intake manifolds, and then run an Emanage or similar setup to tune for the turbo setup and use a manual boost controller to manage boost.

I know that it would end up running with a 6500rpm limiter instead of 7000 but I figured I have a good motor and trans sitting in the garage as well as a forester needing some work. I do live in an emissions state where they do OBD2 testing on 96+ cars so I would have to get it to pass emissions by using the stock ej25d ecu.
