I was wondering if it is possible to put ej257 internals into a stock 2000rs block? Would it have to be machined or would they just drop in?

Forget those morons that have time to reply dump comments and don't help. Yes STI internals will fit perfectly in 2.5RS block, rods, pistons,crank. Have fun building it up,

Sti and RS crank are basically the same. Sti rods bolt right to RS crank, and Sti pistons would at least need a re-hone to seat the rings. Might as well do new bearings while you are in there, since you have to split the block anyway.
