So, I have a deal on a 91 Legacy SS. You know, the one with the EJ22T.

I drive a '97 Impreza. Bone stock motor.

If I picked up the car, I'd have a set of EJ20G heads to go with it.

But I'm just not sure what to expect out of this. Is this going to be a worthwhile swap? Will I completely regret it and wish I went USDM WRX like I've been recently planning? What kind of EM can I use in this application?

Here is a car with the hybird you want to build, it made about 226WHP/268WTQ with old stock stub rocker Legacy EJ20G heads & VF8 turbo + a stock ej22t.

I know he was running a EJ20G off the ej22t ECU in the Legacy (I am too).
If you want to make real HP change the rods & pistons on the ej22t.

Yeah, but the motor is moreso in the car it belongs in. It's bound to be a simpler swap.

I want to know more about putting this into an Impreza.

dare i ask, why you are gutting a legacy turbo?

Nothwithstanding, you will have to pull the ecu, engine harness and merge that with yours.

They produce good power, and the 20G heads allow for better top end ( as the stock 22t heads start to drop power at 5300 rpms.)

because the auto tranny is garbage and the body is shit.

nevermind, I do not want to do this anymore. USDM WRX or go home, nothing pre 2002
