I'm finishing up my build that uses an EJ205 bottom end with EJ20K cams. My question is in regards to the extra timing belt idler(the small one next to tensioner) from the newer generation motors. I have the idler left over, but should I use it since it wasn't used on the PHASE I motors? I think it would actually help since subaru put it there for a reason on the 205 and the timing on the DOHC motors should be the same. Should I use it? Would it help or harm?
