2003 RS Impreza EJ25 engine. Brand new leads and plugs cleaned all electrical plugs took out coolant temp sensor the one that feeds the ecu and cleaned it with light emery paper put it back in and still cold starts are a bitch! Could the ecu temp sensor be faulty does this cause these sort of problems??

Fuel and air are the first thing you check when something like this happens it's a faulty coolant temp sensor that feeds the ecu on startup

It has a tough time on cold start then it runs fine. I'm thinking it's done a colorant temp sensor that feeds the ecu because it's running rich using fuel like no tomorrow I run 95 octane and I'm only getting 450kms to a tank when I should be getting 500km plus
